Join us February 22 for our first-ever TEDxTysons Salon event, hosted by Valo Park. Artists from different disciplines will talk about the importance of improvising and how it influences their work. They’ll teach us the tools they use to be creative on demand and how to harness its benefits in our personal and professional lives.
Salon events are smaller, shorter and more intimate gatherings with active participation from the audience. Every salon event will feature a single topic to create a focused audience and atmosphere. We look forward to bringing you more Salon events throughout the year!
Registration will open at 7:30 am and breakfast will be served until 8:15 am. We will then gather in the auditorium to hear from three outstanding speakers discuss improvisation in comedy, live theater performance and jazz. The Salon will end with us all practicing what we learned in an interactive improv exercise, facilitated by Chris Ulrich of DC Improv!
It will also be your first chance to snag a ticket to our main showcase event June 10 for the early bird price of $30, but you can only get one if you attend the Salon event!
